Wales Rally GB.
Well it’s old news now, but very disappiontingly, David and Kevin went out after just 6 stages after a puncture when the jack failed. Bulls**t FIA rules (and officials on the spot with cameras) meant they could get no help, nor borrow a jack elsewhere, which forced them to try to driveĀ on the public road with three tyres and a rim, although they had a perfectly good spare on board, in a desperate attempt to stay in the rally.
That only lasted until they were stopped by the Heddlu and it was all over. Its time common sense prevailed again. Those at the top should be made to appreciate that it costs many thousands of ponds to do a WRC event and that being forced out for the lack of a working jack is NOT acceptable !!!!. I’m sure this has happened to many hundreds of crews over the years so why has there not been an outcry ?..
