Speyside Rally
The Scottish Rally Championship resumed this weekend after a decent break since the Scottish.
Here are Franks Love’s excellent images from the rally-

At one, the Fiesta R5+ crew of David Bogie and Kevin Rae did their best to regain control of the championship, with a just a few rounds remaining and afer a nerve-wracking start where they were only one second ahead of Euan Thorburn on stages one, two and three, eventually won but not by a huge margin, just 13 seconds, the Fiesta apparently being reasonably equal in power and handling to Thorburn’s Focus.
Greg and Chris McKnight were seeded at 31 and finished 26th. Here’s Greg’s facebook banter… “Had a fantastic days rallying at the Speyside! Won 1600 class by 2 seconds and top junior again. The battle was great all day between Ally, Kieran and myself. We were dead equal with Ally going into the last stage and I couldn’t of drove any quicker on the last stage!. No brakes on stages 3 & 4 and 5 was ‘interesting’ but kept her on the road!. Thanks once again to all sponsors, Chris McKnight, Lewis Bowsher and Adam Scott for servicing. Happy days”.
Unfortunately, Jim Robertson and Colin Maxwell were forced to retire the C2R2 after the fuel pump failed on stage 5. Finally at 69, Scott Sloan and father David also had to reture, but this time it was becasuse the car was off the road.
